Technology

Infrastructure we use, not infrastructure we own

Celo, CELO, USDm, and Valora are our technical foundation. CeloHT doesn't operate any of them - we build the education and community process that makes them accessible.

Core infrastructure

The infrastructure layer

01

Base network

Celo

A public Layer-1 blockchain built for mobile-first access, using Proof-of-Stake consensus and EVM compatibility. CeloHT uses it as the base chain for agent-network transactions and reforestation rewards.

02

Stable-value payments

USDm

A stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, used for everyday transactions - cash-in/cash-out, transfers, and rewards - because price stability makes it practical for daily use.

03

Network utility

CELO

The network's native asset, used for transaction fees and governance within the Celo protocol itself. We teach users what it is without positioning it as our primary product.

04

Mobile wallet

Valora

A mobile wallet built for simplicity, letting users send and receive USDm and CELO without needing to understand everything under the hood. CeloHT does not own or operate it.

Not a permanent, exclusive choice

Governed, not assumed

Celo and Valora are our current standard, but we’re aware the crypto ecosystem keeps evolving. Any change to this foundational technology has to go through our governance process and be documented publicly.

Wallet infrastructure

Wallet Connectivity

Connecting CeloHT to the next generation of mobile and Web3 wallets.

CeloHT is designed to make digital finance accessible across the Celo ecosystem. Our wallet infrastructure is built to support seamless connections between users, CeloHT applications, and modern Web3 wallets.

Current wallet reference

Valora is recommended where applicable, but it is not affiliated with CeloHT and is not the project's exclusive wallet. The wider ecosystem remains open to MiniPay, WalletConnect-compatible wallets, and other supported wallet experiences where appropriate.

Mobile-first Celo Wallet

MiniPay

MiniPay provides a lightweight, mobile-first wallet experience for accessing stablecoins and Web3 applications on Celo. CeloHT is designed to support MiniPay as part of its broader wallet connectivity infrastructure.

  • Celo-native wallet experience
  • Mobile-first design
  • Stablecoin-focused payments
  • Web3 application connectivity
  • Designed for accessible digital finance
WalletConnect

Multi-Wallet Connectivity

WalletConnect

WalletConnect provides an interoperability layer that enables users to connect compatible Web3 wallets to CeloHT applications, creating a flexible and wallet-agnostic user experience.

  • Multi-wallet connectivity
  • Secure wallet sessions
  • Web3 interoperability
  • Mobile and desktop support
  • Celo application integration
